It’s Rivalry Week for the next two weeks at SB Nation, and so we get to investigate some of the teams that the United States national teams consider rivals. Now, for the USMNT, we know who the main rival is: Mexico. No one’s questioning that. For the USWNT, the main rival on the field is Canada, but for them, rivalries are hard to come by because they have been destroying just about everyone the past 5 years.

But, those aren’t the only matches that the teams and fans get up for these days. Both teams have found that some other teams get under their skin, and fans have rallied behind the team for key victories over some teams at key moments. But, are they enough to make a rivalry? For the MNT, you have Canada, Ghana, England, Germany, the Netherlands, and maybe even Costa Rica or Jamaica as possible rivals. For the WNT, you have Mexico, France, England, Sweden, Japan, maybe even Australia.

So, which team is the biggest 2nd rival for the USMNT and USWNT? That’s this week’s Community Corner. Hit the comments and let us know which team you think falls just behind Mexico (MNT) and Canada (WNT).
