Weston McKennie is a national treasure. The man lives his life at full speed and full of joy. It was all on display this weekend as McKennie headed home a goal to put Juventus up 2-0 over Bologna. After the game, McKennie outed himself as a Potterhead, and his goal celebration was a magic spell and he has a lightning bolt tattooed on his finger!
The first of many
The United States Women’s National Team played their second match against Colombia and Catarina Macario scored her first goal wearing the crest. USWNT legend Mia Hamm congratulated Macario on her goal.
Congrats @catarinamacario. Many more to come. Enjoy the journey.— Mia Hamm (@MiaHamm) January 23, 2021
The tweet caught the attention of Macario, and led to a fantastic litter interaction between the two.
If I had your movement and awareness I might have scored more goals. So fun to watch. https://t.co/rhTSmBH4Ia— Mia Hamm (@MiaHamm) January 24, 2021
Jordan Morris agreed to join Championship side Swansea City, and among the first to congratulate him was his USMNT teammate Paul Arriola, who according to reports could be joining Morris shortly with the Swans.
If Tyler’s happy so are we
Tyler Adams was in his happy place on the training grounds, and that’s good enough for us.
Before scoring for Juventus over the weekend, Weston McKennie and company were hoisting the Italian Super Cup trophy, and we couldn’t agree more with ESPN’s Hercules Gomez, who noted that Weston’s teammates seem to share our opinion that he’s a really good dude.
I was wrong about Weston McKennie.. didn’t think he’d have much of an impact with Juventus.— herculez gomez (@herculezg) January 20, 2021
Best part of his success is that he seems like a genuinely good dude, and his teammates seem to all love him.
Don’t mind being wrong one bit. #Respect pic.twitter.com/XCz7SsGoK4
