Well, it sounds like the world of soccer as we know it will not yet come crashing down around us. So basically, the rest of the week is looking pretty good! Get caught up on some Yanks Abroad performances on Tuesday, and all the other news from around the United States National Teams.

English teams first to leave
All six Premier League clubs announced on Tuesday that they’re pulling out of the proposed European Super League. Manchester City went a more formal route, Chelsea were “the reconsidering appropriate steps”, and Arsenal basically apologized and asked for sympathy. “It was never our intention to cause such distress, however when the invitation to join the Super League came, while knowing there were no guarantees, we did not want to be left behind to ensure we protected Arsenal and its future.”

Christian Pulisic, Weston McKennie, Sergiño Dest, & Zack Steffen are among the USMNT core playing for (or loaned from) teams who originally declared to be a part of the Super League.

The breakaway European Super League is all about big money
The way the league is organized runs counter to traditional European football, and closer to the American money trains of Major League Baseball or the National Football League.

Pulisic vs Brighton
The Chelsea FC man went 90 minutes in a very disappointing 0-0 draw at home vs Brighton. They had an opportunity to leapfrog both West Ham United & Leicester City, but settle but 55 points & fourth place. FotMob rated Pulisic at 6.9. He had three shots, one on target, completed 82% of his passes, and won nine of 14 duels.

Adam’s 50th Bundesliga Appearance
Tyler Adams played 61 minutes in RB Leipzig’s 2-1 loss at FC Cologne on Tuesday, making his 50th Bundesliga appearance. He was at 93% passing, was 1/1 tackling & dribbling, and won five out of seven duels.

Gooch assist
Lynden Gooch picked up an assist yesterday as Sunderland drew 2-2 at Hull City.

Schalke relegated
Matthew Hoppe’s Schalke have been relegated from the Bundesliga after a 1-0 loss at Arminia Bielefeld on Tuesday.

Olympics Official Draw
The USWNT will learn their path to gold medal glory early on Wednesday morning. The draw takes place at 4am CT. (Update: we have a draw!)

TSG Hoffenheim head coach Sebastian Hoeneß is loving having Chris Richards on loan from Bayern Munich.

Durkin reflects as Sint-Truiden fights off relegation worries
