Werder Bremen striker and United States international Aron Johannsson is reportedly considering a move away from the club this summer after an unfortunate spell of time in the Bundesliga.

ESPNFC are reporting that the 26-year-old will consider a move to another club if his current situation with relegation-threatened side doesn’t improve soon. Despite finally being healthy, Johannsson hasn’t played in any of the club’s last four matches and has only appeared in eight matches this season.

Bremen manager Alexander Nouri told Kicker earlier this week that the striker “has to offer himself in training and work to get the chance again.”

Part of the reason for his absence this past weekend was due to the birth of his first daughter. However, it’s clear that he’s not a first-choice option at the club right now. If that doesn’t change by the end of the season, we could see him at a new club come the summer.
