Good news for 24 year-old striker Bobby Wood! He’s set to sign a new deal with Hamburger SV. There had been rumors that he was entertaining offers from West Ham to Leicester City. All of this is being reported by Hamburger Morgenpost. His team survived and did not get relegated, as they finished in 14th place.

The Hawaii native is set to sign a 4 year deal worth €3 million and a higher release clause. His release clause when he signed with Hamburger SV was €12 million, and is now higher than that, though no details were released.

With a higher release clause means more money for Hamburg if they decide to turn around and sell him at some point. Wood has also reportedly changed agents and now is represented by SportsTotal, this is the same company that represents German Internationals Toni Kroos and Marco Reus.

This season the U.S. International played in 32 matches, grabbing 9 goals and 2 assists across all competitions. Though he did have to fight through his share of injury problems this season as well.
