Dallas, Texas native and U.S. International Emerson Hyndman has found some success in the Scottish Premier League as he’s been on loan with Rangers since January. He’s played in 20 matches across all competitions for the Ibrox club. In that time he’s found the back of the net 4 times and has also picked up 4 assists. He has been so impressive in his loan spell that he won the Rangers FC Young Player Of The Year award.
Rumors have been swirling about that he may join Celtic during the summer. According to reports Brendan Rodgers had been in discussion with the Cherries about bringing the young midfielder to The Hoops.
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has said in no uncertain terms that Hyndman will be returning to the south coast of England at the completion of the season. Howe called the 21 year-old outstanding and has a come a long way since he bought him from Fulham and sent him out on loan to the Teddy Bears.
“You don’t invest in young players to then move them on very quickly. That defeats the object of our model. “

From the sound of it, the Cherries are invested in Hyndman for the long haul.
“We look to bring in young and talented players and develop them and make them better. That is a long-term process.
“We are delighted with the progress. It's great to see Emerson doing so well on loan with Rangers."
- Eddie Howe
Emerson himself seems to he happy with the way things are going in the Scottish Premier League.
“I am pleased that I started quite well. Every time you come to a new club with new team-mates you want to get used to them and feel at home and I’ve done that quite quickly.
“I had confidence coming into the club but you want to see that confidence turn into results and individually you want to do well."

With Eddie Howe squashing rumors, it looks as though the Hyndman will be fighting for Premier League minutes on the south coast with Bournemouth next term. Currently the Cherries occupy 10th place in the Premier League.
Do you think that Emerson Hyndman should fight for minutes in the Premier League or would it be better to send him back out on loan for another season? Let us know in the comments!
