Jordan Morris is heading abroad. Swansea City agreed to a loan deal with the 26-year-old Seattle Sounders forward for the rest of the 2020-2021 season. The loan deal includes an option to convert into a permanent transfer at the end of the season.
This deal had been rumored for the better part of a week now, and speculation heightened on an agreement being reached after Morris asked to be excused from the United States Men’s National Team’s January Camp a couple days ago. Morris, who has 39 caps and 10 goals for the USMNT, flew over to Wales to finish up the paperwork needed to become a Swan.

Jordan Morris will wear the #11 jersey for Swansea, but will not debut this weekend. Due to his arrival today in Wales, he will not be available for Swansea’s FA Cup match against Nottingham Forest. It remains unclear if he will be made available for EFL Championship matches next week against Brentford and Rotherham United.
Swansea currently sit 2nd in the Championship table, 7 points back of Norwich City and 2 points ahead of Brentford for that automatic promotion spot.
