DeAndre Yedlin has found a new home in Turkey. The 27-year-old United States international completed a move earlier today to join Galatasaray from Newcastle.
Yedlin joined Newcastle in 2016, logging over 125 appearances for the club in his 4 seasons at St. James’ Park. He scored 3 goals and added 11 assists for the Magpies during his time there. The American got his start with the Seattle Sounders and featured prominently for the USMNT during the 2014 World Cup before securing a transfer to Tottenham Hotspur in 2014. He stayed there for two seasons before heading to Newcastle. Newcastle recently let Yedlin’s work visa expire, which prompted an acceleration in talks to move him to another club.
We'd like to thank DeAndre for his efforts throughout his time at the club and wish him well for the future.

He now joins one of the most famous clubs in Turkey in Galatasaray for 3.5 years. He will wear the #22 jersey at Türk Telekom Stadium. Galatasaray are currently in a battle with archrivals Fenerbahçe for the lead in the Turkish Süper Lig. They hope Yedlin will give them the cover at right back they need to win the title.
