Josh Sargent just keeps scoring sick goals

His third in three halves at the U-20 World Cup.

This is Josh Sargent’s world; we just live in it. The 17-year-old American has done it again, finishing off his third goal in three halves at the U-20 World Cup. This time it’s an impressive touch, turn and finish with his left foot to complete a brilliant build-up that involved Tyler Adams and Luca de la Torre.

The goal gave the U.S. the lead going into halftime. Rumors are abound that Sargent has some sort of agreement in place with Bundesliga side Werder Bremen to sign a contract when he turns 18. At this rate he might want to hold off. If he keeps scoring amazing goals like this he’ll have his choice of nearly any club in the world.

Hype trains are numerous in American soccer circles, but it’s becoming very apparent that Sargent is more than worthy of his. It won’t be too long until we start hearing murmurs about him possibly being on Bruce Arena’s radar if he keeps this up.
