The United States under-17 men’s national team wrap up group play at the World Cup tonight when they take on the Netherlands in what basically amounts to a win or go home scenario.

This young American team has only gained one point through two matches so far after a one-sided loss to Senegal and a drab scoreless draw with Japan. Meanwhile, the Dutch have lost to both of those teams. Both the U.S. and Netherlands have only managed one goal in this tournament.

With four of the six third-place group finishers advancing to the knockout stage, a win would almost assuredly send the Americans through. While anything less would likely send them home.

Raphael Wicky’s group haven’t lived up to expectations in the first two matches, but there’s still 90 minutes left to salvage the group stage and maybe even the tournament.

United States lineup:

TBA
