USA vs. Canada match thread: USWNT look to top the Canucks

USA vs. Canada again.

USA TODAY Sports

The United States and Canada renew their rivalry tonight in Winnipeg, where they two sides will play a friendly at Investors Group Field. The stadium will be one of the six venues for the 2015 Women's World Cup so, at the very least, the U.S. is getting familiar with the site of next year's tournament.

As is always the case when the U.S. and Canada meet, there will be intensity and physicality. The two teams have been complimentary towards each other of late, with Abby Wambach calling Christine Sinclair the best player in the world, but at some point there will be an elbow, or Sydney Leroux will score and point to her badge, and things will get nasty.

Once again, Jill Ellis is in charge of the U.S. as the search for Tom Sermanni's permanent replacement continues. Ellis will not have Stephanie Cox available to her after she sprained her ankle in training, but the rest of the roster is at her disposal

United States: Hope Solo, Ali Krieger, Whitney Engen, Becky Sauerbrunn, Meghan Klingenberg, Carli Lloyd, Morgan Brian, Lauren Holiday, Heather O'Reilly, Sydney Leroux, Abby Wambach.

The match is not on TV so you'll have to hop onto ESPN3 or ESPNW.com to watch the stream. Do so and join in here as one of women's soccer's best rivalries is renewed.
