The United States is into the knockout stage. They won two of their opening three matches, drawing the other and topping Group D. Whether they looked good or bad, it didn't matter because they got results and now that is all that matters. From hereon out, all that matters is winning and losing because the losers are done.
The Americans will start off their second stage of the tournament against Colombia in the round of 16. Colombia finished third in their group, but had the shock result of the tournament, beating France. Admittedly, they got thrashed in that match and benefitted from a healthy bit of luck and poor refereeing, but they took all three points from a phenomenal team, which should have the U.S. on notice.
As has been the case for every U.S. match this tournament, J.P. Dellacamera, Tony Dicicco and Cat Whitehill will be on the wall. The match is at 8 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1 and will be proceeded with a one-hour pregame show. NBC Deportes will have the clash in Spanish, while Fox Sports Go is the digital home.
Match date/time: Monday, 8 p.m. ET
