USWNT vs. Japan, Women's World Cup final: Lineups and match thread

Michael Chow-USA TODAY Sports

The United States is so close to a World Cup title. So close. So close. And revenge! So close.

But also so close to more heartbreak. Oh no. What the hell is going to happen. Nerves are at a million.

Jill Ellis is going with the same starting lineup as she used against Germany. Morgan Brian, Carly Lloyd and Lauren Holiday are all in the center of the park with Megan Rapinoe and Tobin Heath out wide and Alex Morgan up top. It worked on Tuesday and they're betting on it again.

Japan is a really good team and rolling with the same team they always do. There are no surprises there.

United States: Solo; Klingenberg, Sauerbrunn, Johnston, Krieger; Brian, Holiday; Rapinoe, Lloyd, Heath; Morgan

Japan: Kaihori; Sameshima, Kumagai, Iwashimizu, Ariyoshi; Miyama, Utsugi, Sakaguchi, Kawasumi; Ogimi, Ohno

OH MY GOD SO EXCITED. OH MY GOD SO NERVOUS. LET'S DO THIS OR SOMETHING.
