2019 USWNT Women’s World Cup jersey leaked

This is that fire.

It appears that when the United States Women’s National Team hits the field for the 2019 Women’s World Cup to defend their title, they will do so in red and with swag. Yesterday, the 2019 Women’s World Cup away jersey was leaked by a man attending, of all things, an environmental and social change conference that was unrelated to sports.

As you can see, the apparent USWNT jersey has elements of sublimated stars and stripes throughout the front of the jersey, with the Nike swoosh in royal blue with white trim and three stars above the U.S. Soccer crest, as is standard for the 3-time Women’s World Cup champions.

The neck line is an interesting v-neck, and it’s assumed that the jersey will use the same white bespoke namesets that are found on the 2018 away jersey. What is not known is whether the front number will be under the Nike swoosh, as it is on the 2018 jerseys, or if they will move to the center of the jersey. The 2019 USWNT jerseys will also have the 2015 Women’s World Cup champions patch, likely in the middle of the chest between the Nike swoosh and the USWNT crest.

According to Footy Headlines, the jersey will be part of a set that includes exclusive jerseys for the USWNT. They also offer some additional elements of the jersey that aren’t readily visible from the main picture floating around, including the U.S. Soccer slogan “One Nation, One Team” inside the shoulder and 3 stars printed on the upper back of the jersey. The look is complete with red shorts and white socks.

If Nike continues on its current timeline for jersey releases, we can expect this awesome jersey to drop sometime in the spring. Hit the comments to let us know what you think of this possible USWNT look for next summer!
