Welcome to 2021! Hopefully this year is much better than the previous one, but it’s also going to be our busiest yet. With the United States national teams largely dormant in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 2021 calendar is going to be full of action.
The USMNT will have Nations League playoffs, the Gold Cup, World Cup qualifying, friendlies, and players doing big things in Champions League, Europa League, and their clubs. The USWNT will have SheBelieves Cup, the Olympics, friendlies, and their own club action. We also have the MNT U-23s, who will have Olympic qualifying and, hopefully, the Olympics as well. While the U-17 and U-20 World Cups were canceled for both the men and the women, we have youth internationals making moves on the club and college scenes and making an impact for their teams as well.
With 2021 underway, we want to hear from you. The first Community Corner question of the year is: what do you want to see from SSFC in 2021? Hit the comments and tell us what area of the game you hope to get more coverage on, or if there are potential articles that you would find interesting!
