2014 World Cup Draw: TV schedule, start time and more

It's time to find out who the U.S. will play. To ESPN2!

Mark Runnacles

Draw day is finally here.

Unfortunately, the draw comes with a sense of foreboding. I guess that's what happens when, odds are, the United States is going to find themselves in a difficult group. That's the reality for the U.S. after FIFA placed CONCACAF and Asia in the same pot, taking away a chance for the Americans to get one of Asia's weaker teams in their group. Not that it was unexpected, but it was disheartening nonetheless.

So the U.S. is likely to draw a difficult group, but how difficult? And might they luckily land in a soft group? That is something we will find out today.

In the United States, draw coverage begins at 11:30 a.m. ET on ESPN2. They will have two men in Brazil providing live and instant reactions to everything from the draw, while Bob Ley hosts the studio show from Bristol, CT. The draw will also be available online on Watch ESPN, as well as in Spanish, on Univision.

Are you ready for the draw? Are you ready for an hour of dancing and singing before the draw? Are you ready for Sepp Blatter?

This is our world today.

Draw date/time: Friday, December 6; 11:30 a.m. ET, 1:30 p.m. ET local

Venue: Costa do Sauípe Resort, Mata de São João, Brazil

TV: ESPN2 (English), Univision (Spanish)
